Well - here I go again!! I realize no one is probably reading this, but that's entirely OK. I think the Lord might be leading me to do this just for me. I've always had alot to say (just ask my dear husband), but not very good at keeping a journal. For some reason, I'm anxious to go forward with this (at least right now).
Where to start this evening...beautiful December day here in West Texas. Low 50's, clear and perfect!! Went to Church this morning and so enjoyed the beautiful musical Christmas program. The choir sang so perfectly, the orchestra was magical, and the musical choices perfect! Truly a gift from Heaven.
Afterwards, dear husband and I were to put up the Christmas tree - well, didn't get done. The house is all decorated, the lights are up outside, everything, but the Christmas tree. Dear husband says he just seemed to forget all about it as he was lying on the sofa watching football, and I just should have reminded his to bring the tree in for me and get it all set up. I did remind, but he didn't budge. There is still next week. Sweet, brilliant son won't be home from Dental School until close to Christmas Eve (taking 2nd half of his National Boards the 20th and 21st - anyone reading, please say a prayer for wisdom and knowledge) and precious daughter with incredible son-in-law won't be home until Christmas Day (1st time I am having to "share" her on Christmas Day - hope I can be sweet about it). So, still time to get tree up and decorated.
Actually, as dear husband and I have been attending lots of fun get-togethers during this holiday season, I am already looking forward to the New Year and doing some much needed remodeling, especially in the kitchen. We had planned on doing this project summer 2010, but that was before precious daughter and incredible son-in-law became engaged and planned a July destination wedding in Cozumel, Mexico. Everything else sort of took a back seat (for reasons of time, money, and my sanity). So already planning on having some work done this summer. Another thing about this blogging world - I have seen a whole lot of home remodeling and decorating by some super talented people (of which I truly am not) and have gotten some wonderful ideas.
Well, it's close to midnight and I must face a classroom of sweet, very excited 1st graders at 7:50 in the morning - had best get to bed.
Thanks to anyone that may stop by and read the my late night "rantings"!

My Very First Blog
Well , here I go - a very "un-techie" lady into a very technological world. I'm doing this becaue I found the world of blogging quite by accident - looking for a magazine website. I wanted to renew my Southern Living subscription (I love this magazine, just by the way), and saw a site that had "Southern Lady" and "Etiquette by Miss Janice" all in one paragraph. Just had to see what that was all about. Well, I was hooked from the 1st reading. Miss Janice is so very interesting, informing, and fun. I felt like I had found a long-lost friend (though I have never had the pleasure of making her acquaintance). From there, I started reading other blogs and found so many of them so fascinating. Now mind you, this was back in the early summer, and my own precious daughter was getting married in July in a destination wedding. It was not like I had nothing else to do, but I entered into such a warm community of people sharing, not only their good times, but some of their most difficult. So now, I am going to try and "wade" my way into this new found world. Wish me luck (hope I can figure out how to do all the neat things the rest of y'all do - like neat pictures and all - I'll certainly give it a try)!!!
